Natural Mosquito, Tick, and Flea Deterrent

Mosquito Joe of Rochester understands that not every yard is the same, which is why we offer different treatment options to fit those needs in Byron and surrounding New York areas. One of these options is our natural treatments.

What is it?

Hand pump sprayer in front of a gate that has yellow flowers behind it.Mosquito Joe of Rochester offers a natural mosquito repellent as an alternative to our synthetic treatment. This treatment uses essential oils, such as lemongrass, peppermint or rosemary, and garlic to repel mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas from your property. When applied the essential oils are diluted in water and become a low dose product that will allow you and your family to enjoy a bite-free yard.

How is it applied?

The application is administered through a barrier spray system targeting shrubs, plants, flowers, vegetable gardens, and around ponds where mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas like to rest and feed.
While treating, we also inspect your property for active larvae populations and treat them accordingly. Your technician will help you identify potential mosquito breeding grounds in your yard in Oakfield, NY and recommend ways to eliminate standing water. These notes will be left on the post-service door hanger at the end of the treatment.

Is it effective?

Our natural treatment options deter mosquitoes immediately and effectively just like our traditional barrier treatment. Options range from all-natural garlic to botanicals derived from natural plant oils and range from 14 to 21-day cycles to maintain the same effective outdoor pest control.
